High performance “green” schools incorporate features that reduce energy consumption and costs by being efficient to build, operate and maintain.  These schools are healthy and productive learning environments with superior IEQ, high levels of natural daylight, and engaged occupants.  They can be brand new or century-old buildings, or somewhere in between. This presentation will review tools and resources that can help new and existing schools meet rigorous high performance school goals.  The presentation will also include case studies on new and renovated historic buildings that have achieved high performance status.
