This lecture class is designed to assist you in understanding the real benefits of using Ecotect’s daylighting performance tools and how through the use of Radiance one can provide a more detailed radiosity-based analysis. Radiance is the industry standard for detailed daylight analysis and can help design teams better understand lighting impacts both qualitatively and quantitatively. We’ll explore how Radiance, when run through Ecotect Analysis, can generate images to caluclate the quantity of daylight and predict glare. Also learn how to test a variety of alternative sky conditions, times of day, and glass tints to see how the various daylight scenarios will impact a space or building.
