Want to do sustainable design but don’t know what software to use to do your analysis? Like the idea of performative design but want to see if it works before trying it yourself? This session will be going over these topics and more, with the goal of showing not just how it can be done but that it’s already being done. Using real world examples and methods derived from real-life projects going on around the world, this class will explain the core concepts of performance-based design. We will also demonstrate how to achieve success by pairing these concepts with several different software packages such as Revit, Vasari and Ecotect. Attendees will learn how certain kinds of analysis is better suited to certain software, and best practices for maintaining a coordinated design model in order to avoid fragmentation and disorganization.
